School Dean Arrested - More Victims Likely
July 30, 2025 - A 27-year-old former Jacksonville charter school teacher and school dean is behind bars on multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse.

Arrest Made in Restaurant Parking Lot Homicide
July 29, 2025 - On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, District 3 patrol officers responded to a shooting on Southside Boulevard. The victim, 38-year-old Kenneth Mobley, Jr., had been shot in the chest in a restaurant parking lot. Rescue rushed him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Six Arrested, 11 Cases Cleared After Great Dane Killed in Drive-By
July 28, 2025 - In August 2024, District 6 officers responded to a shooting. The gunmen shot into an occupied home on Park Avenue, killing the homeowner’s Great Dane, Naomi, on the front porch. Detectives recovered shell casings at the scene, and using information from the National Integrated
Officers Disperse Large Gathering of Juveniles on the Southbank
July 27, 2025 - During the evening hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025, JSO officers dispersed a large crowd on Jacksonville’s Southbank near Friendship Fountain. The group consisted of approximately 600 to 700 juveniles.
