Your Neighborhood
Get involved in your district - be in the know!

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office uses police service districts to help improve response times to calls for service, help patrol officers become more familiar with that area of the community, and help connect officers with citizens and businesses owners in their district.

Duval County, Florida is comprised of six districts not including the beaches where calls for service are handled by their local police departments. Each district is broken down into sectors and sub-sectors to easily navigate and find neighborhoods within the community. If you are not sure of what district your neighborhood is in JSO provides a mapping tool to help locate your district. Why is this important? It helps you get involved with events in your area such as Sheriff’s Watch meetings and Crime Prevention Walks.

In this section you will learn about the six district substations and ways you can get involved in your neighborhood.
