Teen Arrested for Fatally Stabbing Father

Syr Williams, 17, is behind bars after he killed his father on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

District 4 patrol officers responded to a stabbing at a home on Wheeler Avenue near Blanding Boulevard just before 7 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Jervas Williams with multiple stab wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) Homicide detectives began their investigation, reviewing the evidence and interviewing those at the house. Detectives quickly identified Williams’ son, Syr Williams, as his attacker.

The suspect was arrested in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
