In one day, 215,000 lethal doses of Fentanyl were seized after two suspects plotted to bring the poison to Jacksonville
On Friday, July 10, 2026, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) Narcotics Unit detectives seized 4,300 kilograms of Fentanyl from 49-year-old Alejandro Villasana. Villasana had flown from Chicago, Illinois to Jacksonville, Florida to deliver the deadly drugs to 36-year-old Javaris Williams. Both men are facing a list of criminal charges.
While the bust occurred in just minutes, it took months of hard work from the JSO Major Case, Mid-Level, Street Level Narcotics teams and the JSO Overdose Death teams to build the case against Villasana and Williams.
Detectives also seized a gun and more than $60,000 in cash.
The amount of Fentanyl seized in this bust is almost a quarter of a million deadly doses removed from the streets of Jacksonville.
