Suspect in Custody After Domestic-Related Triple Shooting Took the Life of a 4-Year-Old and Injured Two Others
A 4-year-old girl was killed, and a toddler and their mother were injured in a domestic-related triple shooting on Jacksonville’s Northside Tuesday afternoon. The suspected shooter is in custody.
At approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, District 6 patrol officers responded to a reported shooting on Traci Lynn Drive. When officers arrived, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 27-year-old black female, a 4-year-old black female, and a 2-year-old black female.
Tragically, the 4-year-old died at the scene. The two other victims were transported to local hospitals, where they underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries.
Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) Community Problem Response Unit quickly located the suspect, a black male, during a traffic stop shortly after the shooting. Preliminary information indicates the suspect and the adult victim are the parents of the two children.
