Suspect in Custody After Domestic-Related Triple Shooting Took the Life of a 4-Year-Old and Injured Two Others
July 01, 2026
A 4-year-old girl was killed, and a toddler and their mother were injured in a domestic-related triple shooting on Jacksonville’s Northside Tuesday afternoon. The suspected shooter is in custody.

At approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, District 6 patrol officers responded to a reported shooting on Traci Lynn Drive. When officers arrived, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 27-year-old black female, a 4-year-old black female, and a 2-year-old black female.

Tragically, the 4-year-old died at the scene. The two other victims were transported to local hospitals, where they underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) Community Problem Response Unit quickly located the suspect, a black male, during a traffic stop shortly after the shooting. Preliminary information indicates the suspect and the adult victim are the parents of the two children.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 904.630.0500 or contact First Coast Crime Stoppers.
