Couple Arrested in Connection with More Than $240,000 in Stolen Gold Coins

A husband-and-wife booty burglar team thought they had struck gold, but their hunt for treasure has come to an end.


Victor Owens, 50, and Jennifer Owens, 53, are now behind bars (not gold ones) after they were arrested in connection to 34 stolen gold coins worth more than $240,000. Victor stole the coins from his job at a shipping company where he and Jennifer began selling the coins to various buyers.

Victor was arrested on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, on charges of Grand Theft, False Verification of Ownership on a Pawn Broker Transaction Form, and Dealing in Stolen Property.

Jennifer was arrested on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, on charges of Dealing in Stolen Property and False Verification of Ownership on a Pawn Broker Transaction Form.
