The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Vice Unit detectives arrested 24 men and five women during a three-day operation targeting those using the internet to solicit sex.
During “Operation County Line”, JSO partnered with the Intercept Task Force and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office to target those using online sites to solicit or offer prostitution. While prostitution is a misdemeanor offense, it is still a serious crime. Prostitution fuels human trafficking and spreads diseases in the community.
