21-Year-Old Charged in 7-Year-Old's Murder Arrested for Third Murder Case
On Monday, December 1, 2023, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) District 1 Patrol Officers found 31-year-old Kenneth Glover, Jr., lying in a parking lot in the 800 block of A. Philip Randolph Boulevard. It was determined that he had been shot, and he was
subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
JSO's Homicide Team 4 along with Crime Scene Unit detectives were notified and responded to the area and began their respective investigations. Following an extended review of all available information, evidence vetting and working to build a case, detectives identified 21-year-old Dannel Larkins as the suspect. Larkins was arrested today for his role in Glover’s murder.
Larkins, having been arrested for multiple prior murders, was already in the John E. Goode Pretrial Detention Facility (Duval County jail) upon this latest arrest. He was previously charged with two other murders in the Jacksonville community: 43-year-old Valondia Norris in April 2024 and 7-year-old Breon Allen in January 2025.
