Officer Rings Bell for Last Cancer Treatment

On Monday, July 6, 2026, District 1 Patrol Officer Jessica Kramer rang the bell for her last radiation treatment 333 days after being diagnosed with breast cancer.


She celebrated with a smile and tears, alongside her husband, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) Lieutenant Matt Kramer, and their daughter.

The journey wasn’t easy, but she never faced it alone. Family and friends along with the entire Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) were with her every step of the way. Many surprised her Monday morning for the special occasion.
