JSO Legacy: The Oliver Family
January 20, 2026
Recently, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) launched a new series highlighting some of the agency's employees who are more than just co-workers, they're family members.

Detective Travis Oliver, Sr. and his son, Officer Travis Oliver, Jr., are just one example of the father-son duos working at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Detective Oliver has served our agency for more than 26 years, most recently in our Cold Case Unit. Officer Oliver graduated from JSO's police academy in October; he’s serving on patrol in District 6.

The legacy of public service continue throughout generations here at the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Those interested in joining the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are asked to visit: JoinJSO.com. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is an Equal Opportunity / Equal Access Employer.
