Sheriff's Office Headquarters Begins Relocation Process; What You Need to Know
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) is in the process of moving administrative offices and will be providing more details on public access soon. In the meantime, the public counter, at 501 E. Bay Street, will remain open through Thursday, September 10, 2026, and will
temporarily close until Monday, September 28, 2026, when it reopens to the public at the new facility.
The District 1 Substation located at 5258-13 Norwood Avenue, will close on Monday, September 14, 2026, as it moves to the new facility.
District 2 through 6 Substations will remain open for the entirety of the move, so there will be no lapse in JSO public services. Substation hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During the relocation, performer work applications / renewals and associated fees for replaced / lost cards will be accepted at the District 4 Substation located inside the Cedar Hills Shopping Center,
3726 Blanding Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
The Prescription Drug Drop Box is not available during this time. More information will be released soon about the new location for the box. Thank you for understanding.
