In the latest episode of "Inside JSO," the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office puts a spotlight on the agency's Chaplaincy Unit. Vic Micolucci from JSO's Strategic Communications team recently sat down with Sheriff T.K. Waters and the agency chaplains to talk more about
the importance of the unit.
If an officer or employee isn’t feeling their best, they can’t provide the best service to our community. That’s why the men and women of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are dedicated to providing employees the best physical, mental, and spiritual care available.
One resource is the Chaplaincy Unit, a team redesigned by Sheriff T.K. Waters. This two-person team, Pastor Cory McDonald and Chaplain Greg Farah, offer spiritual counseling and support to every employee who needs it. They ride with officers, pray with recruit classes, and offer a range of other services. They also work with partners throughout the community to support a variety of faiths and beliefs.
