Bradley Drew, 33, is the second person arrested after the murder of 33-year-old Christopher Cam in April of this year.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) District 5 patrol officers responded to a shooting on Ernest Street near McDuff Avenue and found the victim, 33-year-old Christopher Cam, with multiple gunshot wounds. Members from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) responded and transported Cam to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Medical Examiner’s Office rules his cause of death was homicide.
Detectives from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) Homicide and Crime Scene Units immediately began their investigation. After months of reviewing evidence and examining details, detectives named 32-year-old Brandon Engeloff as a suspect in the case. He was arrested in August, but detectives continued the investigation, knowing Engeloff was not the only one responsible for Cam’s death.
As the investigation continued, detectives named Drew as another suspect in this case. Drew was already behind bars for unrelated charges when detectives arrested him Friday, October 10, 2025, for Cam’s murder.
