More than a decade ago, someone shot and killed 48-year-old Julius Parrish near Bunche Drive and West 45th Street. As his family continues to grieve, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) detectives continue to search for justice.
On Saturday, June 30, 2012, around 11:30 p.m., JSO officers found Julius shot to death after a drive-by shooting. Detectives don’t know why he was targeted.
To this day, no arrests have been made, but detectives haven’t given up.
JSO's Cold Case Unit detectives recently spoke with Julius’ wife, who was in the car when he was shot and killed in the driveway while talking to his godson. Unfortunately, Julius did not survive the shooting, but his godson did.
Detectives have never stopped working on this case.
