Imagine working a normal Thursday afternoon, only for two unrelated suspects to turn the same Highlands retail store on Dunn Avenue into their own personal “tool drive-thru” just hours apart.
The first suspect came in at 1:57 p.m.
He walked in like he knew exactly what he wanted. Within minutes, an impact drill and a tool combo kit were gone. He left just as quickly, slipping into a white box truck with no tag and damage to the passenger side before taking off.
Fast forward to 6:25 p.m.
A different man, completely unrelated to the first, walked into the same store and headed straight for a generator. He walked out and climbed into a white pickup truck, leaving before anyone could notice.
During the two thefts more than $900 worth of items were stolen.
Here’s why this matters: When tools are stolen, companies often pass those costs on to customers, which makes everything more expensive for the consumer.
Anyone with any information regarding either suspect is asked to please call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office non-emergency line at 904.630.0500. To stay anonymous and possibly receive a cash reward, please contact
