In the early morning hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, patrol officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9500 block of Baymeadows Road in reference to a reported person shot. Upon arrival, officers located not one, but two victims suffering from gunshot
wounds outside of a local business complex. The suspect, later identified as Larry Allen Baldwin Jr., 18, was attempting to provide first aid to one of the victims as officers arrived.
Members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department also responded, but lifesaving measures were unsuccessful on both victims. They were subsequently identified as Rubisnney Giraldo-Mina, 19, and Larry Allen Baldwin Sr., 41.
JSO’s Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit were notified and responded to the scene to investigate. The investigation ultimately revealed that the suspect shot the victims during a verbal argument.
Following the suspect interview, he was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder and escorted to be held in the John E. Goode Pretrial Detention Facility (Duval County Jail).
