June 23, 2025 - Two years ago, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office launched the Unsolved Crimes webpage. Since its inception, 2,046 cases have been posted and citizens have helped the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office identify 450 suspects through the 469 tips received so far.

June 18, 2025 - On Monday, May 26, 2025, just prior to midnight, officers found an individual lying in an alley behind a business on Merrill Road near Townsend Boulevard.  The man was subsequently pronounced deceased and was identified as 40-year-old Brandon Venegas.
