Information Sought in July 2025 Hit-and-Run
August 07, 2025 - Early in the morning on Friday, July 11, 2025, Joe Townsend was crossing East 21st Street at the intersection of Talleyrand Avenue. A Jeep Grand Cherokee hit Townsend; he passed away from his injuries.

Significant Amount of Fentanyl, Other Drugs Seized in Mixon Town Search Warrant
August 02, 2025 - Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) detectives received tips that a home on Clemente Drive in Mixon Town was being used to sell drugs. Detectives jumped into action, building a case for a search warrant.
