The Supply and Inventory Management Units
The Supply Unit is responsible for ordering, storing and issuing equipment used by members of the Sheriff's Office. This includes items necessary to perform the police function such as uniforms, electronic control weapons and equipment, footwear, rain gear and various office supplies. The Supply Unit prepares specifications for uniform equipment and also coordinates field tests and makes recommendations based on evaluations of various tested equipment.
The Inventory Management Unit is responsible for coordinating the management of all inventoried property within the Sheriff's Office. The Unit coordinates the annual inventory of Sheriff's Office property and disposal of surplus equipment through the City's Department of Procurement.
