JACKSONVILLE, FL (March 9, 2017) - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office would like to remind residents that at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2017, we will "spring forward" one hour, as Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins.
Citizens are also reminded that the beginning of Daylight Saving Time (in the spring) and the end of DST (in the fall) are the times when you should replace the batteries in smoke detectors, and test them.
It is also important to remember that with warmer weather, more people will be riding their bicycles. JSO urges citizens to know the rules of the road and to be Alert Today - Alive Tomorrow. For traffic safety tips please click here.
